It’s been a long and hard few months but things are finally starting to turn around. A spinal cord injury brings with it many complications, one such being skin breakdown. Despite a good diet, lots of water and plenty of exercise unfortunately pressure sores can occur. Following several courses of antibiotics, a hospital stent, bed rest and promogan prisma wound balancing plasters I have finally recovered.

PROMOGRAN PRISMA Wound Balancing Matrix is comprised of a sterile, freeze dried composite of 44% oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC), 55% collagen and 1% silver-ORC. Silver-ORC contains 25% w/w ionically bound silver, a well-known antimicrobial agent. Optmum wound environment.

In the presence of exudate, PROMOGRAN PRISMA transforms into a soft, conformable, biodegradable gel, and thus allows contact with all areas of the wound.

Traumatc wounds and surgical wounds

PROMOGRAN PRISMA maintains a physiologically moist microenvironment at the wound surface. This environment is conducive to granulation tissue formation, epithelisation and optimal wound healing.
